Dog Training Story
Cannae Dog Training started with a simple idea: to become better at training dogs after a Cane Corso named Dexter broke my shoulder on a walk. I almost gave up, I said I "cannae" walk anymore dogs or do anymore dog sitting for anyone. I've had enough of all these big untrained puppy dogs. I was fuelled by anger at first then by a deep passion for becoming a high level canine leader. I never gave up, I know a lot of folk think a wee woman should not be walking that big dog if she "cannae" control it.
I never wanted to use a prong collar but that's what his owner wanted so I went to Will Atherton Academy to learn more. I had tried all the tools that had worked with my other dogs but nothing worked to control Dexter at 18 months old the adolescent needed something different.
Our history
At Cannae Dog Training, we pride ourselves on being there for folk when they need us most. We have taken in dogs when they had no where else to go, we have rescued and re-homed a few dogs over the years. About The Cannae Dugs Aloud
I'm Susan Jarvie and my journey into dog training began over 20 years ago, when I was struggling with my own puppy who chewed everything when I went out to work - shoes, carpets, even electrical cables. For his own safety, I had to crate train him, and that's where my hobby and interest in dog training began.
Since then I started Cannae Dugs Aloud, I have been a trusted dog walker and pet sitter local which is where I gaining hands-on experience with a wide range of dog breeds.
We are committed to preventing the Cane Corso breed from becoming the next dog to be added to the banned dogs list here in Scotland and the UK. To help owners build better relationships with their dogs - through practical, balance training that works
